The weather took an unexpected turn this November, sprinkling snow across many areas of the country. For some lucky couples, this created the perfect backdrop for their winter wedding and helped to make lots of great memories and photos. For your winter wedding, there is nothing better than a delicious and warming menu from Hog Roast Craigavon. Here is just one option that is sure to go down a treat…
Freya and her fiancĂ© were first introduced to Hog Roast Craigavon’s catering at a wedding fair earlier in 2024. The pair tried our delicious samples and chatted to our catering manager Jamie and soon knew that we were the perfect team for their wedding this November. The couple were planning a beautiful winter wedding at a countryside venue in Northern Ireland, including an intimate reception with 40 guests. For the catering, we needed to provide a menu that would keep the guests warm through the chilly November afternoon, with dishes for every guest to enjoy.
On the day of the wedding, the couple were amazed to wake up to a wonderful snowy scene, with their reception venue looking like it had been transformed into the perfect winter wonderland! When the Hog Roast Craigavon team arrived at the venue, we were eager to get started on our catering and keep the guests cosy on an even colder day than expected! For the main dishes, we served succulent slow-roasted pork alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Alternatively, we provided BBQ-pulled jackfruit, which is a delicious meat-free option. The mains were accompanied by roasted baby potatoes, seasonal vegetables, and thick homemade gravy. Overall, this created the perfect cosy comfort menu, with more than enough for everyone to enjoy. It was great to be a part of this beautiful wedding day and the Hog Roast Craigavon team wishes the best for the newlyweds!
