As we head into the summer months with lighter evenings and all round positivity it’s easy to understand why it’s the peak season to throw a party! Here at Hog Roast Ballygawley we are busy all year round but exceptionally so during the summer with the extra garden parties, everyone enjoying the (slightly more reliable) summer weather and of course requiring some delicious food to treat their guests too! That’s exactly where we come in, to provide outstanding catering completely stress free.
It wasn’t so long ago that Julie gave us a call to tell us about her upcoming event with only 2 weeks’ notice she wasn’t entirely sure it would be possible to have a hog roast at her event and had a Plan B set up of a homemade buffet (of which she was wanting to avoid!) Luckily for Julie we had a team available of the Sunday of her event and within a matter of minutes Julie had told us which menu she would like to go for – Private Party Menu 3 – a fabulous choice for a sunny Sunday afternoon! We would be providing Julie and her guests with slow roasted tender pork, herb dressed new potatoes packed full of flavour and 3 fresh salads of Julie’s choice.
On the day of the garden party the sun was shining and it was a perfect day, we arrived just before the guests did so we could set up in the garden without disruption to the guest’s arrival and we could start preparing the menu. It wasn’t long before all the friends and family had arrived, drinks were flowing and everyone mingling, it was surely getting to the time where bellies were starting to rumble! Our Hog Roast Ballygawley chef checked the timings were okay with the host and of course Julie then announced the food was ready. The guests flocked over, Julie first in line of course to sample the delights she had chosen for her guests on the day. The favourite was by far the perfect crispy crackling!
