Charity fundraising comes in so many different forms, ranging from formal balls to sponsored runs and bake sales. A great way to boost any fundraiser is to provide a delicious catering option, and Hog Roast Holywood has the perfect menu for the occasion.
Holly volunteers at a local community centre and each year the centre chooses a different charity to support and raise funds for. This year, they have been fundraising for a food bank charity, which is an extremely important cause. Currently, the team is planning a comedy night at the centre, complete with a delicious menu from Hog Roast Holywood. We will be serving our classic hog roast, which guests can enjoy in exchange for donations to the foodbank. Our catering manager Jamie is looking forward to this event since we are sure that our menu will go down a treat, and it is even better when it is for a good cause!
In preparation for this event, the Hog Roast Holywood team is planning on arriving at the centre in the afternoon and setting up our catering station in the kitchen. We will begin by slow-roasting the hog and allowing it to cook for around five hours. Once ready, the pork will be expertly carved and served alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Alternatively, the guests can enjoy succulent pork sausages or veggie sausages in hot dog rolls. For the sides, we will be serving homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, corn cobettes, a green leaf salad, and a fresh pasta salad. Overall, our menu is bound to be a great addition to this event and we are looking forward to enjoying the comedy acts while we get to work!
