Hog Roast Ballyclare Was Back At Breckenhill For A Wedding Fair!

Hog Roast BallyclareBreckenhill has a way of making you pause the moment you arrive. Maybe it’s the sweeping views over Tildarg Dam, or the fact that the place feels like it’s been plucked straight out of a countryside painting and left untouched for centuries. With over 250 years of history, barns that have been carefully restored, and woodland paths that seem to invite you to wander off and get slightly lost (in the best possible way), it’s no surprise it was named Most Romantic Wedding Venue of the Year in the Northern Ireland Wedding Awards 2026.

For Hog Roast Ballyclare, it’s also a venue that feels like home turf in the best sense. We’ve worked here many times and are proudly partnered with Breckenhill, but the wedding fair they held on the 17th of May still managed to bring that same buzz you get on the first visit. The kind where you’re unloading equipment a little faster than usual because you’re excited to get started.

All day long Hog Roast Ballyclare had couples stopping by, some just curious, others already deep in wedding-planning spreadsheets, and quite a few who recognised us from online and wanted to put faces to the name. That’s always a nice moment – it turns a logo into real conversations, real plans, and in this case even real bookings.

Of course, the big question everyone asks is about the food. Once people realise we don’t just do hog roasts, but full wedding menus tailored to different styles, diets and vibes, you can almost see the wheels turning. Grazing tables, BBQ spreads, slow-roast feasts – suddenly the catering part of the wedding doesn’t feel like a headache anymore.

What we enjoyed most, though, was the atmosphere. Weddings are personal, and being part of those early conversations where ideas are still forming is something we never take for granted.

To everyone who stopped for a chat or made an enquiry, we really appreciated meeting you. And if you didn’t manage to catch us this time, don’t worry – wedding fair season isn’t slowing down anytime soon. Keep an eye on our socials… Hog Roast Ballyclare will be back out there before you know it.
