NORTHERN IRELAND: Hog Roast Holywood’s Gourmet BBQ Is Worth Travelling The World For!

Hog Roast HolywoodNot to blow our own trumpet but every now and then, an event comes along where we just have to hold our hands up and say: yeah, that was brilliant.

This one was a birthday bash. A fun-filled celebration, with some of the guests travelling all the way to Northern Ireland from the United States to mark the occasion, which for Hog Roast Holywood meant bringing our A-game. (Not that we don’t usually).

In the weeks leading up to the party, the client came to us wanting the Gourmet BBQ Menu, and honestly? Smart choice. It might sound straightforward on paper, but the moment you dig into it, you realise there’s nothing ordinary about it. Every bit of meat is free-range and freshly prepared by hand – that means proper 100% British beef burgers, butcher’s sausages with that satisfying crispy skin, sticky marinated ribs that make a total mess (in the best way), Thai-seasoned chicken kebabs with genuine depth of flavour and slow-roasted pulled pork that practically melts before it reaches the fork.

Picking just three mains for the party was – by the client’s own admission – genuinely difficult. We get it. We’d struggle too. But they made their call, stuck with it, and were absolutely over the moon with how everything turned out.

And don’t panic, Hog Roast Holywood didn’t forget about the veggie and vegans either. Two seriously good plant-based alternatives made sure nobody was left circling the table with an empty plate. Pair those with the fresh and inclusive salad sides and a warming potato dish, and this was a spread that worked for everyone – no compromises, no sad afterthoughts.

The vibe all day was absolutely brilliant. People were going back for second helpings, compliments were flying, and the birthday guest of honour was beaming. The Americans didn’t just enjoy the food – they were genuinely impressed by it, which, we have to admit, felt pretty good.

If you’ve got a celebration coming up and you want food that actually becomes part of the memory – not just the backdrop to it – why not give Hog Roast Holywood a call?Hog Roast Holywood
